A while back someone mentioned that there was a program that
will use an exhastive search to optimize HPPA code--but that it
was very compute-intensive. I'm pretty interested in working on
this, if someone can give me details.
It seems that now we have quite a few computers, and if we can
up the efficiency a bit for procs other then Rocke's speedy
Intel code, we can add quite a bit to our rate. We also have
quite a few HP 712's around here that I might be able to co-opt
into the effort pretty soon.
