Yup, and it's commonly believed that quite a number of organizations
have such equipment.
However, our effort is significant in that we're trying to crack a DES
key _with_no_real_expense_. Using specialized hardware would cost
money, whereas the way we're doing it now -- idle cycles on machines
that are already on anyway -- doesn't cost anyone anything more than
what they're already spending.
