It could easily be turned into a newsgroup locally, though I don't
think the readership is nearly high enough to warrant a real usenet
group for it. (We've got ~200+ subscribers. To get it to pass,
almost everyone on the list would have to vote for it, and almost no
one against it.) Additionally, usenet isn't as accessible for some
folks.

If you are getting buried with deschall messages, I recommend getting
ahold of procmail, and using that to filter out your email, putting
each list in a separate email box.
