Yeah, they got a big boost from a university in Taiwan with 2000+
computers... I'm a little surprised by that, but I bet they were too. :-)

Well, "only" 1.16G key/sec (1.25GK, by my math) isn't quite the phrase
I'd use. That's a *lot* of keys.

Besides, we've only scratched the surface of the amount of available CPU
power. If everyone on this list was to spread the press release around
(local Usenet groups, email lists, etc) and convince a few friends at
other universities/ISPs/.coms, we'd have no problem continuing to double
our search rate.
