That would probably be me. We thought about making it a background only
app, but the problem is it chews up so much CPU that it would make the
computer almost unusable except on powermacs > 100 Mhz. We're looking into
making it act like a screen saver so that it only crunches numbers when
the mouse/keyboard have been idle for a certain period of time.
