Fwd: [DES-ANNOUNCE] New clients and 'spamming'

I was reading some mail on the Solnet announce list and came across
the following message. I wanted to know what was preventing this
from happening to the DESChal effort? It almost appears as if we
need to have some sort of encryption on the packets that are sent
back...

Now for something that registers as a high 9.5 on my
"Suck-scale"...

As many of you noted some machines in Finland have spammed the
server with fake reports. This means that we will have to test
those
blocks again. We'll try to hurry up with the source distribution
before the technique used to do this becomes available...

That's all for now I guess...
