proxy log processor

Has anyone got a quick n dirty perl script or otherwise to go through
and figure out what the proxy logs signify (ie last known rates of
progress, number of hosts reported in in last X hours, etc etc...)

That would groove. Or at least if someone could tell me what the
heck the 29/29 29/28 28/29 stuff means... (thats the onyl thing I
think I'm missing. I know its key pairs, but 'just completed' or
'here's your next batch' or both and which is which? etc. Again, Im tired. ;)
