Off Topic: Sun Sparc specifications needed.

Greetings All,

Sorry for the off-topic note here, but we don't know where else to
turn, all the Sun guru's seem to be on this list! If anyone could
E-mail us directly with answers to our questions here, instead of
filling the list with off-topic banter, it would be greatly
appreciated.

We are in the process of gathering hardware with which to help crack
DES, and have so far gotten about a dozen or so new x86 machines, 2 DEC
Alpha's (166 & 233), and now have a line on a Sun Workstation Model
SPARC IPC. It has following specs:

Monochrome Display Buffer
Ethernet
2 Serial
Audio
SCSI
3.5 inch Floppy
Keyboard
Optical Mouse
Optical Mouse Pad.
16MB RAM
2 GB Ext. SCSI HD
No Monitor

What exactly is this machine, CPU-wise, etc? Is it a lemon in the Sun
line? Is there such a thing? :)
We know nothing about Sun Sparc's (sorry!), so are not sure how to
progress. Is this machine upgradeable? Does it require any proprietary
hardware (RAM, video, etc)? Is it Mono, or can VGA/SVGA be implemented?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time and
sorry for the off-topic intrusion.
