The Mac in my office with a direct ethernet connection has no problems
chugging along forever. I decided to give it a try at home over PPP.

As long as the original PPP connection remains active, the client can
talk to the key server just fine. But, if I hang up the PPP while it's
chewing on a batch of keys and then reconnect PPP before it's finished,
it will not talk to the server. I've waited as long as 15 minutes for a
reply.
