Had been using current Mac Client and Eudora to keep connection from timing
out. Best speed I could get out of my 8100/100 was 2^29 - 204k keys/sec.
Saw the note about Mac TCP Watcher. Chased down a copy at Info-Mac (USA,
Amug) - -

ftp.amug.org/pub/info-mac/_Internet/mactcp-watcher-20.hqx

Set it up to continuously ping microsoft (www.microsoft.com) saw a good
improvement. Speed up to 2^29 - 278k keys/sec on average, with a packet
return rate of 99%. Highly recommend it to those having a problem.
