MacOS Benchmarks

I just started with the DESHALL program and wanted to make sure I'm
getting the best speed I can. I'm currently getting about 2100kkeys/s with
just the latest DESHALL program and my necessary AOL 3.01 app open with
DESHALL in front. When I put it in the background like I'm doing to type
this email with an email program in addition to AOL and DESHALL, I get
about 1760-1800kkeys/s. Is this good or should I trim down my system files
and try to get more keys/s (my system file is pretty big = lots of
frivolous inits and control panels I don't really need real totalling
about 25MB of system RAM).

I'm running MacOS 7.5.5 on a Dual 180mhz PowerPC 604e PowerMac 8500 (45mhz
system bus, 112MB RAM, 1MB L2 cache). I believe the vast majority of the
rest of you are running non-Mac systems, so if you don't know anything
about Mac benchmarks, what are comparable machines on other platforms
getting? Thanks for any info and tips for speeding me up.
