Ahh! Gimme a shirt, I'm on the back (anonymous2.anonymous)! Makes me
wish that I would have used our domain name.

I originally requested anonymous participation early on because of
potentially negative reactions from upper management. Ironically enough,
the Big Boss read the Wall Street Journal article and came to me with
questions, "are my financial transactions safe?", "what about my Email?".
In simple terms I explained the basics of symetric and public key
cryptography, detailing DES and its vulnerabilties as well as the fact our
company participated in its eventual defeat. When he found out that a
mid-sized real estate company finished 24th he was:

1. MAD - "Did you do that on COMPANY TIME?!"
2. Scared - "What can the governemnt do?"

After explaining that idle cycles were used and in no way did our
participation interfere with business he relaxed. Then I explained who
the NSA is and he got tense again ;).

Long story short, the Big Boss didn't have a CLUE as to what cryptography
was before DESCHALL and the publicity it has generated. Now he's asking
questions and I'm introducing him to PGP. To me, DESCHALL has been a Very
Good Thing.

PS - Can I PLEASE get anonymous2.anonymous changed to gundaker.com?! Any
possibility?
