linux smp

I just bought a dual pentium pro motherboard and was hoping to try running
multiple deschall clients to see if linux smp is really capable of
detecting multiprocess states and assigning tasks to each
processor/thread. Well, unfortunately, deschall doesn't run anymore and I
don't know where to find software that will show me that i'm really using
both processors... something that will comfort me in my time of grief
over spending so much money so quickly :)

My `top' output is screwed :) and I don't know where to find other SMP
utilities for linux... anyone got any suggestions?

thanks,
Jason

one net to rule them all, one net to find them, one net to bring them all, using Unix to bind them.

ps. sorry for being off topic
